MayByrd Media was officially incorporated in the state of New York in 2016. However, our roots date back to 2010, when Karim Camara, founder and Chief Marketing Officer at MayByrd Media, began providing digital marketing services to local businesses and organizations. He started his own personal marketing journey by building websites for the church he pastored using Weebly, a website builder (now outdated) designed for users to create professional-looking websites without requiring coding or technical knowledge. Seeing the limitations of the “drag-and-drop website builders” as they are commonly called, Karim quickly advanced his knowledge and skills, becoming an expert in building websites with WordPress, the world’s preeminent website builder. He has since utilized his diverse marketing skills, ranging from website creation, PPC, SEO, content creation, social media management, and copywriting for various companies and non-profits to grow their customer base and their brand . Karim has since started and led organizations ranging from a state-championship-winning youth basketball program to a contemporary church, a dog training company, and a leadership development firm, all of which he has implemented marketing principles that transcend industries. In addition, he has both served and been pivotal in leading various organizations, including providing communication services for a multi-million-dollar hedge fund, a New York state governmental office (that dispensed $100 million to non-profits), and the founder of several small businesses and non-profit organizations. MayByrd Media emerged from these various efforts, first by helping businesses create their websites, and then becoming a company dedicated to helping businesses, from local to enterprise, increase their leads, customers, and revenue using time-tested, proven marketing strategies.
