MayByrd Media was officially incorporated in New York State in 2016. However, our roots actually stem from 2010 when Karim Camara, MayByrd’s founder and Director of Marketing and Communications, began providing digital marketing services to local businesses and organizations. He began his own marketing journey building websites for the church that he pastored- using Weebly, a website builder (currently outdated) designed for users to create professional looking websites without coding or technical knowledge. Karim quickly advanced his knowledge and skills and became an expert in building websites with WordPress- the pre-eminent website builder in the world. He has since used his diverse marketing skills- ranging from website creation, digital advertising, social media management, copywriitng for various companies and non-profits.
Karim has since started and led organizations ranging from a state championship-winning youth basketball program, a contemporary church, a dog training company, and a leadership development firm, all of where he has implemented marketing principles that transcend industries. In addition, he has both served and been pivotal in leading various organizations, from providing communication services for a multi-million dollar hedge fund, a New York state governmental office (that dispensed $100 million to non-profits), and the founder of several small businesses and non-profit organizations.
MayByrd Media emerged from these various efforts, first by helping businesses create their websites to becoming a company dedicated to helping businesses from local to enterprise increase their leads, customers, and revenue using time-tested, proven marketing strategies.
